Physio Led Exercise Classes

Physio Led Exercise Classes

All of our exercise classes — from Clinical Pilates to strength and running programs — are designed and supervised by a qualified physiotherapist. Every session is tailored to your body, your goals, and your stage of rehabilitation or fitness.

Clinical & Reformer Pilates

Our Clinical Pilates sessions use state-of-the-art reformer equipment and are designed and supervised by a qualified physiotherapist. Unlike regular Pilates classes, every exercise is selected specifically for your body, your goals, and your stage of rehabilitation or fitness.

Physiotherapist-Led

Unlike standard group classes, every session is supervised by Kristen, a qualified physiotherapist who tailors each exercise to your body, your goals, and any clinical considerations.

Injury Rehabilitation

Clinical Pilates is one of the most effective rehabilitation tools available. Our physiotherapist-led sessions target your specific injury with precise, controlled movements on the reformer.

Core Strengthening

Build deep core stability that supports your spine and improves your overall functional strength. A strong core is the foundation for all movement and injury prevention.

Spring Resistance Training

The reformer's adjustable spring system provides variable resistance, allowing exercises to be precisely calibrated to your strength level and progressively increased as you improve.

Flexibility & Mobility

Improve your range of motion, reduce stiffness, and move more freely. Our programs are designed to restore and maintain optimal flexibility throughout your body.

Rehabilitation Focus

The reformer supports controlled movement with reduced body weight load, making it safe and effective for recovery from injury or surgery. Ideal for post-operative and chronic pain rehabilitation.

Reformer vs Mat Pilates

The reformer provides adjustable spring resistance for progressive training, supports a wider range of exercises than mat work, and offers assistance or resistance depending on the exercise. It is ideal for rehabilitation as it reduces body weight load, and allows precise targeting of specific muscle groups.

While mat Pilates is effective in its own right, the reformer opens up a broader exercise library and makes it possible to work safely through ranges of motion that may be difficult or painful on the mat alone.

Your Exercise Class Journey

1

Initial Assessment

We start with a comprehensive physiotherapy assessment to understand your body, identify any issues, and set clear goals.

2

Personalised Program

Based on your assessment, we design a program tailored to your specific needs, goals, and current fitness level — whether that's Pilates, strength training, running, or a combination.

3

Supervised Sessions

Every session is led by Kristen, ensuring correct technique, appropriate progression, and maximum benefit from each exercise.

4

Ongoing Progression

Your program evolves as you improve. We regularly reassess and adjust to keep you progressing towards your goals.

Tailored Exercise & Running Programs

Personalised exercise and running programs designed by a physiotherapist. Whether you're training for your first 5K, building strength, or returning from injury, your program is built for your body and your goals.

Strength Programs

Structured strength training programs tailored to your experience level and goals — from building a foundation of functional strength to advanced hypertrophy and performance programming.

Running Programs

Purpose-built running programs for every distance and ability, from couch-to-5K through to marathon preparation. Each plan balances volume, intensity, and recovery to keep you progressing safely.

Injury-Aware Design

Every program accounts for your injury history and current limitations. As a physiotherapist, Kristen designs around your body's needs — not a one-size-fits-all template.

Progressive Overload

Your program is built on the principle of progressive overload, with planned increases in volume, intensity, or complexity to ensure you continue making gains over time.

Program Types

Hi Movement offers a range of tailored program types to suit your goals: general strength and conditioning for overall fitness, running programs across all distances including 5K, 10K, half marathon, and marathon, return-to-sport rehabilitation for those recovering from injury, gym-based hypertrophy programs for muscle building, and home workout programs designed for minimal equipment.

For those who want the best of both worlds, we also offer combined strength and running programs that balance your training load and help you perform better across both disciplines without overtraining or increasing injury risk.
